About this event

We are thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking initiative: the Clitterhouse Mosaic Project, a testament to empowerment, equality and artistic expression, commemorating the heritage site that is Clitterhouse Farm. Our Community Mosaic project serves a dual purpose: you will learn mosaic making AND, at the same time, your fee will fund the creation of a series of mosaic panels tracing some of the main historic uses of this interesting building situated in North West London. We wish the above mosaic artwork to adorn the window panels on the exterior part of the farm building. As we aim to bring this vision to life, we need YOUR support to create panel by panel, through a series of mosaic workshops, which will fund the community project, weaving a tapestry of history through the art of mosaic. Every tile laid in these workshops is a step closer to realising a vibrant masterpiece that tells the story of our heritage site. We invite you to be part of something extraordinary and support the Clitterhouse Mosac Project!

Discover the Art of Mosaic and immmerse yourself in the world of colours, patterns and cultural significance as you learn the intricate art of mosaic making from local artists Barbara Mansi ands Nimah.

Contribute to Heritage Conservation by engaging in this project with your creativity. Every tile placed is a step towards safeguarding history.

These workshops cater for ALL skill levels. The unique characteristic of these workshops is that you can either attend one single event or become an integral part of the entire mosaic journey. Your creativity matters and every contribution brings us closer to completing a breathtaking work of art.

The inaugural panel pays tribute to the Suffragette Gladice Keevil, who was born at Clitterhouse Farm, and to all those corageous suffragettes who thought tirelessly for women's right to vote. This panel will be more that art; it is a symbol of resiliance, strenght and the power of voices united. So, what are you waiting for? Join now and by learning mosaic making you will help raise funds towards the realisation of this wonderful and exciting project. Further more, with the new acquired mosaic skills (and once enough funds have been raised to purchase what is necessary for this first mosaic), you will be welcome to come along and help artists Barbara Mansi and Nimah in the making of this first panel.
