Seeking knowledge by attending events, listening to historians and community activists, is all well and good. But having organised and delivered several Mosiah Month events over the years, we believe the time is right to particularly urge you to be pro-active, and go the DY route in seeking knowledge of African History and self-discovery.

So whilst Mosiah Month lasts Aug. 1-31, we we'd want to to mark these two dates by empowering yourself - "Be Your Own Revolution And Deliverer: Discover, Reflect & Celebrate African Heritage":

Aug. 17 The Marcus Garvey Annual Pan-Africanism Presentation:

Find out about Marcus Garvey and Gsrveyism from any angle. If you want to put in a bit more effort, you can find out about his time in England, which isn't as wel covered as his time in the US.

Aug. 31 African History Reflection Day

We'd advise you to make an effort to find out any aspect of British African history, particularly as schools and most books concentrate on what happened in the US, often to the exclusion of the UK African experience.
