Following a general introduction to lichens, mosses and liverworts, we will look at the species associated with different zones in coastal sand dunes and the way they contribute to the consolidation of sand.
We are meeeting at Kinshaldy Beach Car Park, Tentsmuir Forest, KY16 0DR. Meet in the north of the car park at grid reference NO 49863 24391 What3Words ///grant.weeknight.relies. The car park is accessed through cash/card barrier; the charge is £4.00. Adults only. Members only. The dunes are uneven so strong footwear essential. Please bring warm, waterproof clothing. Dogs on short leads only. Bring a 10X hand lens if you have one. Toilets and a snack bar are located by the car park.
