Mosspark Baptist Church Site - Volunteering Fri 16th, Sat 17th Dec
Tue, 11 Oct 2016, 14:30 – Sat, 17 Dec 2016, 12:00 BST
First of all, THANK YOU for giving up your free time to support us here at Caring Christmas Trees. We really appreciate your help, as we can’t do any of this without the support of volunteers! You are making a real difference to the lives of homeless people in Edinburgh.
If you have any questions that aren’t answered here, you can email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone us on 0345 111 8733 (Monday to Friday, 10AM to 4PM).
If you're on this page, you are looking to volunteer at the Mosspark Baptist Church, Glasgow distribution site. This is one of our newer sites and has a high volume of customers and trees. Your work is essential for the smooth operation of this site.
If you have now decided that you would like to volunteer for this site, please choose a day and time from the list above. We will then get in contact with you about what you will need to do. NB If your desired slot is 'full', and you are desperate to work that shift, please email us at email@example.com and we'll see what we can do.
If you’re a bit unclear on what exactly you have to do here, we’ve compiled some brief instructions to clarify what the various roles involve.
How Does Caring Christmas Trees Work?
1. Customers buy their trees online or on the phone
2. They select the pick-up point and date

Please Dress Warmly
Some of you will be outside for up to 4 hours, and what keeps you warm on your way to work probably won’t keep you warm here! Please wear a hat, scarf, gloves, several layers, thick socks and warm non-slip shoes or work boots. The warmer, the better!
Free hot drinks will be provided for volunteers at each site.
Customer List: A list of customers that are due to arrive that day will be attached to a clip board.
Site Kit Box: (contains gloves, scissors, tape, pens, torches, measuring sticks etc...)
Site Admin File: (contains a flyer so you know the prices for this year, contains any phone numbers you might need, any training info/risk assessments, tree count sheet that shows how many trees are expected to be at your site on that given day)
Snow Snow Snow!
If on the day the weather makes conditions challenging and you’re not sure whether we’ll still be handing out trees, do contact us to check. You can call us on 0345 111 8733 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org. If we need to contact you, we’ll email you, so do remember to check your email 24 hours before the event starts.
