Join our wildlife monitors at Heartwood Forest to discover a world of night flying moths. Flowering sallow catkins strongly attract the night flying moths which emerge in the early spring. Help us to search trees full of flowering catkins and compare the results with light traps.

Price: free but donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome.

Time: 9pm - midnight

Family friendly: Yes (children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

Dogs welcome: This event is not suitable for dogs.

To ensure group safety and conservation of the area, numbers are limited.


What to know before the walk:

This event is around 3 hours long, but arrangements can be made it you need to leave earlier.

We ask all attendees to wear appropriate footwear, come prepared for cold and potentially wet weather.

This event is weather dependent so please do give mobile number upon booking so we can contact you if necessary.

Please bring a torch.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
