Mother language(s) from my field site

A Linguistic Diversity Collective (LEL) activity for International Mother Language Day, led by Dr Serge Sagna.

Staff and student fieldworkers will present video recordings and photos from their field sites; followed by a discussion of the sociolinguistic setting in which children learn to speak their mother language(s).

This will be an opportunity to contextualise and problematize the concept of mother language.
