Arrival at Alicante airport in the morning. We will arrange transport with the safe and secure company Beniconnect, or with one of our Serendipity drivers. Check in at the accommodation is from 12 Noon.
We will have our quirky Welcome Tea at 4pm for you to meet the other guests on this female only event. You will have plenty of free time to get to know Casa Serendipity and surroundings and in the evening there’s a Serendipity stroll before our supper. You can enjoy some local, live music if you fancy.
Friday 11th March 2016
How you start the day is up to you. We will be offering a sunrise walk to welcome in the day or you can have a lie in if that’s your idea of relaxation. When you do get up, we’ll have a healthy breakfast before we visit the local market in the nearby coastal town of Moraira. With everything from local produce to traditional Spanish wares, Moraira is the ideal first place to get your shopping fix (shoes, shoes and more shoes!).
We’ll then have a tour of the historic town and visit the beach and the port as well. For lunch we’ll be heading to Bar Eleven, which is situated right on the seafront so you can enjoy the waves crashing and the boats bobbing along. Then it’s back to La Casa for siesta time and your Reflexology or Massage sessions.
In the evening, we’ll be heading into the centre of Javea to explore the winding Spanish streets, enjoy the 15th century Gothic church and soak up the local culture. Then we are off around the corner to El Salaito for a traditional tapas meal and all the fun that goes with it. Maybe we will have a cheeky nightcap before we head home for a well-earned sleep.
Saturday 12th March 2016
After a comfortable night, we will awaken to healthy breakfast options. Whether you want a freshly made juice, a smoothie, some fruit or something more filling, you can choose. Then we’ll be boarding the famous Serendipity Campervan and going to the nearby inland town of Jalon, well-known for acres of almond blossom, infamous wines and delicious regional sweet treats; what’s not to love?!
Also, the nearby town of Gata de Gorgos, renowned for baskets and Spanish pottery and has a fantastic handbag museum that, (time permitting) we’ll have a quick tour around so you can learn all about a woman’s favourite accessory!
On a Saturday, the Jalon Valley streets are filled with a ‘rastro’ (second-hand market), selling everything from furniture to antiques. If you’re shopped out, you have a choice: we can have a stroll around the beautiful Spanish grapevines if you want to explore a new area or you can grab a coffee (or tea) in Aleluya, a café known for their flamboyant staff which is very popular with the locals. Oh, did we mention the Bodega/Wine shop next door, offering a wine tasting experience? Not to be missed… hic, giggle, giggle.
We’ll then jump back into our carriage to drive up to the Coll De Rates for a special lunch treat… but we don’t want to ruin all the surprises! After lunch we’ll be heading home for a siesta and there are more opportunities to fit in those heavenly pampering treatments.
In the evening we’ll be having a picnic on the beach (or at home if you prefer), with yoga stretches by the pool, or even just watching a movie. We can then chill out having a relaxing evening with a game of cards and sharing our stories, the perfect way to bond with your new friends.
Sunday 13th March 2016
“Easy like a Sunday morning” sang Lionel Ritchie and that is exactly our wish for you, to enjoy every last minute of this beautiful area. So off we will trot for a tasty breakfast at one of the beautiful beach bars in Javea. After a brief Serendipity stroll by the sea we will then escort you back to your airport transfers amidst fond farewells… Adiós amigas & hasta pronto! Just like when you arrived, we will sort out your return transfer.
