Join us for a Holi inspired feast 26th March. Celebrate mother's day, the colours of Holi and the extra hour of daylight as British Summertime begins.
Learn something new, turn your hands to the beautiful Thali's of India. Join our chefs for a jam packed cookery class where you will learn to cook up a colourful feast of hearty, healthy Indian vegetarian cuisine.
Infused with the spirit of the Holi festival of colour, the menu will be as colourful as it is flavoursome. Expect to learn the secrets behind making the perfect thalis, from daal to sambar, subjis to everything in between.
South Indian cuisine is famous for its light, delicate flavours, full of healthy veggies and coconut milk. In this class, we will teach you about the fundamentals and how to create your own vegetarian curry using a mixture of vegetables and pulses.
Our chefs will take you through the steps to make each of these dishes after which we will serve up a feast fit for a Raj whilst sipping chai and mango lassi.
All food will be sourced from local businesses for this event and all proceeds will be donated to Action Village India, raising funds to help empower rural communities across India.
All guests will have the opportunity to buy a Madras Cafe cookbook to take away.
