About this event
A supportive session for mothers to socialise, try out creative activities, and share your interests. Mothers Who Make is a growing international movement for women and non binary people who care about creating, and create whilst caring.
With hub coordinator Ruth Turnbull, MWM Wolverhampton, sessions are the first Tuesday of the month from 10.30am-12.00pm.
Everyone is welcome, no matter your interests and skills.
Every kind of mother is welcome - biological, adoptive, step, surrogate, foster, trans, bereaved, grand, great grand, future, to be ….
Children of any age are encouraged to attend too and will be welcomed with safe play activities to take part in.
We want our MWM hub to develop with you and provide a supportive, creative space in a number of ways; to connect, share, make and socialise.
MWM Wolverhampton Hub is facilitated by a collective of local mother – makers:

Mothers Who Make began in 2014 in London. The network is led by Matilda Leyser (Mother, Theatre Maker, Associate Director Improbable) and Lizzy Humber (Artist, Producer, Mother) as a way to explore the experiences and challenges specific to being both a mother and a maker / artist.
There are currently regular peer-support groups meeting at 28 major arts-related venues in different regions across the UK, France and Australia.
