Description
Introduction:
This course is part of a wider programme of investment to support skills development for staff in local businesses. The investment aims to address skills shortages and courses have been identified through consultation with businesses and industry bodies. Delegates must be Entitled or Entitled for work*
Target audience:
Aimed at supervisors and managers at all levels from all industries with responsibility for other staff who want to get the best out of their people. Delegates must be Entitled or Entitled for work*
Learning outcomes:
- Understand how coaching is different from mentoring and other interventions and when coaching can be most appropriate to bring the best out of your team member
- Be able to demonstrate level 3 listening skills and formulate highly effective questions
- Understand the importance of providing and receiving feedback on performance
- Understand and demonstrate the coaching model, to encourage ownership and problem solving in your team members
Course details:
- Please arrive at the venue 5 minutes before the start time
- Tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be served in the morning and the afternoon. Lunch is not provided. Delegates should either bring a packed lunch or make their own arrangements during the lunch break
- Please bring note pad and pen
- There is no parking available on site, so delegates who are travelling by car should allow themselves sufficient time to locate adequate public parking
