Motivation without Money

How to recruit and inspire your team without emptying your pocket

Money is not a motivator.  If you remember one thing, remember that!  Of course if its missing it is at best a factor that causes dissatisfaction.

So with the economy shrinking and lots of debt for the UK to pay back, you may find dissatisfaction rising as living standards adjust.  And, this may put pressure on you and your wage bill.

However, having a team that are enthusiastic and motivated to go the extra mile for customers is not about how much you pay them; it’s about attitude and morale.

Start at the beginning:

It starts with the decisions you make about who you bring into your business.  Most business owners are just not fussy enough about who makes it onto their team.

·         If you were starting again would you enthusiastically hire ALL of your team?

·         Why do you put up with sub-standard performance and behaviour?  (The behaviours you get are the ones you tolerate).

·         Do they understand, share and act in a way that fits with your business values?

And once they are on the Bus...

The questions ask when talking to business owners who are experiencing lack of morale in their team are:

·       Why should employees care about your business?

·       What’s in it for them?

Is your business an exciting, driven and purposeful place for your employees to spend their day or are they in fact living in Groundhog day mode – the same day over and over again…?

So if you want some great ideas on how to learn how to recruit, inspire and keep THE BEST employees come to the Wote Street Employment Bureau / ActionCOACH Basingstoke FREE Motivation without Money workshop.  We will share some ideas with you on how to:

1.       Recruit the very best people for your business

2.       Drive and unify your team towards a common goal

3.       Deliver consistently high levels of service through your people

4.       Keep good people engaged and enthused so they NEVER want to leave

5.       Excite and inspire your team – it’s easy when you know how!

6.       Turn your employees into “Raving Fans” of your business and make your company the place everyone wants to work

As Napoleon said “Men will die for Ribbons

What ribbons can you use to inspire your people

and create a workplace that the best employees will beg to work at?

Dave Gammon - Chief Transformer, Sixth Sense Business

A 25 year business career took me from a 16 year old Clerical Assistant to Director of Financial Operations via such incredible organisations as Tesco, Selfridges, Diageo, Ernst and young, Energis, Orange and British Gas.

I spent a long period of my career working in and then running Corporate Audit functions. This Finance function backwater (ask any accountant) gave me access to every function in the organisations I served and a chance to work with (and report on) some of those most talented people in their respective fields. It gave me a unique breadth and depth of understanding of how businesses work at all levels, from the boardroom to the shopfloor.

After leaving the corporate world I took a break before embarking on my career as a business coach, supporting small businesses as they embark on growth plans. These pioneering Business owners found value in my corporate experience and my ability to challenge, agitate and inspire them and their teams.

I now work with Small and Medium sizes businesses training, developing and coaching Owners, Directors, Manangers and key employees using a powerful yet simple blend of commercial and psychological tools.

My goals is to help everyone to bring their best perfromance and also to have a signifncatnly heightened experience of their business work.

Outside of work I am passionate about conservation, a keen snowboarder, mountaineer, socialiser and traveller.
