The West of England AHSN is hosting two FREE 90min workshops to support sites in West of England implementing the UCLP Framework for Blood Pressure Optimisation

The training will cover motivational interviewing/ health coaching principles as well as how to utilise the wording developed to guide conversations. Motivational Coaching:

  • motivates patients
  • helps patients examine their situation and consider their options to move forwards
  • helps healthcare professionals develop better relationships with their patients
  • provides a more satisfactory and rewarding approach for healthcare professionals

This training is available to sites within the West of England who are implementing the UCLPartners Proactive Care Framework for Blood Pressure Optimisation. Everyone in the practice team is welcome to attend. Attendance at both workshops is recommended.

Workshop Session 1: 6th September 2022 at 12.30pm

Workshop Session 2: 18th October 2022 at 12.30pm

The workshops will be presented by an external facilitator and supported by the AHSN long term conditions project team. The workshop material has been developed by CareCity and UCLPartners to support the adoption of the UCLPartners Proactive Care Frameworks. The workshops will be hosted on Zoom and attendees should ensure they can access Zoom meetings ahead of the workshop.

The West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) brings together all the key players innovating health and care in our region.

We are one of 15 AHSNs across the country, established by NHS England in 2013. Here in the West of England, our AHSN has earned a reputation for its ambitious, joined-up vision for healthcare innovation and transformation.

Since our launch, our priority has been to work across organisational and geographical boundaries, involving our entire network in both development and delivery to drive transformation that is based on genuine need, is successfully embedded and sustainable.

With our unique expertise and cross-sector connections, we understand both the ‘push and pull’ of demand on healthcare innovation. We actively nurture an innovation ecosystem around health and care, removing obstacles and bringing diverse groups together to conceive and maximise new ways of working.
