About this event

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a proven, patient-centred communication technique that helps healthcare professionals guide patients toward positive behaviour change without resistance or judgment.

Whether you're a nurse, physician, pharmacist or allied health professional, MI is a critical skill that enhances trust, supports better health outcomes, and transforms clinical conversations.

What You’ll Learn:

  • The Core principles of MI as developed by Miller and Rollnick
  • Techniques to navigate patient ambivalence and build motivation
  • Practical tools to apply MI in real clinical settings
  • Real-world practice through role-playing and feedback

“It’s not about telling people what to do—it’s about helping them discover why and how to do it themselves.”

  • Improve patient adherence and satisfaction
  • Build stronger therapeutic relationships
  • Enhance your communication skills
