Event description

Description

Saturday May 12th

A motor sport meeting of yesteryear with a showing from more contemporary machines.

The 500 Owners Association provide the action on two, three and four wheels most of which will be powered by motor cycle engines. The main focus will be motorcyle powered single-seaters, both modern and the type in which Stirling Moss served his motor racing apprenticeship back in the fifties. Bringing added variety will be classes for motorcycles, both solos and sidecars plus more contemporary cars including saloons, sports and single seaters. Add to all this some vintage machines being given track time prior to Sunday's dedicated vintage meeting and it will be a great spectacle.

Raised spectator areas provide a great view of the action and the sound under the tree canopy of the wooded section of the course adds to the spectacle and atmosphere.

Two practice runs during each morning are followed by two competitive climbs following the lunch-breaks.

Car parking is FREE as is access to the competitors paddock so there are opportunities to get close to both the cars and the drivers. Accompanied children under 14 years of age go FREE.

The scenic landscape of Wiscombe Park provides an superb location for a picnic or alternatively quality catering and a licensed bar are available.
