PULSATING MOTORSPORT MEMORIES EVENING AT HILLS FORD
Opportunity to meet and hear from rally driving stars of the past and present
There’s a great opportunity for those who love rallying to meet and listen to some of rallying’s undisputed heroes from the past, some present-day stars and up-and-coming driving talents that will be the names of the future, as they share their off-road adventures with attendees at a special one off night of Motor Sport Memories at Hills Ford in Kidderminster on the evening of 10th December. And its open to everyone who loves rallying.
It's an ideal pre-Christmas present or simply an exciting evening out before the festive season gets truly underway and two worthwhile charities – The Air Ambulance and the British Motorsport Marshalls Club – will benefit from the £5 entrance fee for the evening.
Amongst those there to share their memories and experiences will be Gwyndaf Evans and Phil Collins reliving their 1980s experiences driving the Group A Sierra Cosworth and comparing that beast of the rally circuit at the time with today’s rally supercars. Their co-drivers Howard Davies and Bryan Thomas will also be present to give attendees a flavour of what it was like to be sat next to these guys, screaming through the forests, snaking around the hills and thundering through the valleys at over 100mph!
From the present day, the evening will be blessed by the presence of Osian Pryce, the newly-crowned 2016 Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy Champion.
“It’s a cracking evening of motor sport memories with some of the greats of the rally circuit to guide us through their stories,” says Hills Ford Joint Managing Director Richard Hill. “There will be a chance to hear these guys telling their stories, a short break for drinks and refreshments and a chance to meet the machines they are talking about. If you are in to rallying it’s an evening not to be missed!”
Doors open at 6pm and the evening is planned to draw to a close at around 9pm – three hours of fun and amazement for those who find Rallying as fascinating as most people who get behind the wheel of even a mildly rapid car, with dreams of off-roading at some stage in their lives!
