An online focus group for people who live in the Mount Vernon catchment area - especially those who have experienced radiotherapy treatment as patients or carers.

The focus group will look at what is important in a radiotherapy service, and what we do and do not need to consider in choosing a location for a possible second radiotherapy service in the area, which would be in addition to radiotherapy services at a new Mount Vernon cancer centre.

The focus groups will take place using "Zoom". You will be encouraged to participate in the discussion and contribute your views, but do not need to share personal details of your experiences unless you choose to.

There will be a note taker who will write down your views and ideas.

The event will be recorded in case we need to go back and ensure we have fully captured your comments, and we will ask for your consent to this as a part of the booking process.

The way the recording works is that only the person speaking can be seen. Sometimes people tell a story or ask a question that we would like to share with people outside of the meeting. In that eventuality, we will always ask for your written permission before your voice or image are shared.

This event will be hosted by NHS England, who commission the service, and is leading the review.
