Day 1

Join us for an exhilarating day of adventure on this amazing multi-peak hike. Whether you are doing it as a stand alone or part of the Mourne Wall Series ..! Lace up your hiking boots and get ready to conquer an amazing Mourne Adventure.


On Sat Nov 8, 2025, meeting at 06:30 AM in Ott Carpark to catch the shuttle to Dunnywater , we will embark on an unforgettable journey following the famous Mourne Wall.

We start our adventure at Dunnywater and follow the handrail the magnificent Mourne wall over some of the highest peaks in the range ..Donard, Commedagh, Corragh, Slievenaglogh, Bearnagh, Meelmore , Meelbeg and Loughshannagh.. finishing at Ott Carpark.


More than just summit bagging, it’s a day of peaks, camaraderie, and shared triumphs—climbing, connecting, and celebrating together every step of the way in the mountains.


This linear route will take in some Breathtaking views, challenging terrain, and the thrill of the Mourne Wall!

This event requires a very high level of fitness and previous hiking experience. We maybe also have to finish in the dark depending on speed of the group.


DAY 2 - Check out the 2nd half of the Series on Sunday 9th Nov and complete the Iconic Mourne Wall challenge Over 1 weekend, 2 Hikes!! Day 1 is slightly longer and bigger height gain.

On completion of both days, you will receive one of our bespoke Mourne Wall Series finishers medals from the Dribble Yak.


Meet Point: Ott Carpark

Meet time: 0630

Hike Start : Dunnywater

Hike Time: 0700

*Please note ..We will meet at our finish point - Happy Valley then will be taken by shuttle to the start of the hike at Newcastle. If you don't require the shuttle, please advise us prior to the event.

Distance: 16.5km

Elevation 1530m

Approx Time: 8/9hours

Level: Strenuous

Terrain: rocky track, open mountain, river crossings, patches terrain, boggy ground.
We will also be starting off our hike in the dark and possibly finishing in the dark.


Can I go on my own?

Of course, there are lots of people that join our events on their own, it won’t be long until you are making new mountain mates!


What you will need to wear:

Suitable footwear- this includes walking boots or waterproof hiking/mountain running trail shoes

Walking trousers or leggings (no jeans/cotton)

Insulating layers such as fleece or wool and a jacket

Gaitors: Optionsl but advised


What you will need to bring with you:

Backpack

Waterproof jacket and trousers

Hat and gloves

Water and snacks (plenty of)

Head torch and spare batteries


Are you ready for an adventure? You will get a guided hike with qualified and experienced mountain leaders who are outdoor first aid trained and will be carrying first aid and emergency equipment for your safety.

**Please note that we will be transported by the Mourne Shuttle Service from Ott Carpark to Dunnywater to begin our hike. We will then hike back to Ott.
Their will be £7.50 payable by cash on the day.. If you plan to meet us at the hike start point in Dunnywater @0700 please advise prior to the event


🐾 DOG FRIENDLY : this is a dog friendly hike . We have a strict on-lead policy. Please ensure you and your dog have experience of hiking on this type of terrain on-lead and that your dog is fit for the hike and able to deal with mountainous terrain 🐾


All of our hikes take time, care, and preparation to bring together — from planning routes to sourcing what’s needed to make the experience possible. When you book a place, we also plan the number of guides to participants around those bookings. To keep things fair and sustainable for everyone, please take note of our cancellation policy:”


CANCELLATION POLICY:

IF WE CANCEL OR POSTPONE an event for any reason, you will have the option of:

1. Completing your activity on a rescheduled date

2. Receive a full refund.


IF YOU CANCEL:

If you notify us with over 14 days notice of the event start date credit will be given that you can use against other events. Within 14 days notice of an event there is no credit given and we do not offer exchanges/transfer of your ticket onto another event.


RESCHEDULED EVENT

If an event is rescheduled and you agree to the new date, your booking is transferred to the new event and this cancellation policy will apply.


Please note: Due to the nature of the events we provide and the environments these take place in, hikes will not be cancelled simply because of bad weather. However they will be cancelled by us if bad weather deems the event dangerous. In this instance we will get in touch to notify you. Hikes are subject to minimum group numbers being reached. In the event that this does not happen, you will be notified and offered a full refund, or the opportunity to be transferred onto a different event.
