About this event

Looking to welcome more flow, aliveness, and embodied awareness into your life? Move to Thrive is a guided movement experience blending breathwork, intuitive movement, emotional expression, and joyful community dance — designed to support your emotional and mental well-being.

What to Expect:

  • Grounding & Breathwork: We begin with grounding practices and breath awareness to help you arrive in the present moment and connect with your body.
  • Intuitive Movement: Through gentle, guided and free-form movement, you’ll explore your natural rhythm, release emotional and physical tension, and move in ways that feel nourishing.
  • Emotional Release: There’s space to connect with your feelings — whether you’re holding grief, joy, stress, or playfulness. Movement becomes your language.
  • Joyful Bollywood-Inspired Dance: We close with an uplifting, Bollywood-inspired dance flow — no choreography, just free movement to joyful beats and celebration!
  • Cool Down & Integration: We end with gentle stretches, sharing (only if you wish), helping you leave the session calm, centred, and refreshed.

You Will:

  • Release physical, mental, and emotional tension
  • Feel grounded, connected, and alive
  • Experience a sense of freedom, ease, and joy in your body
  • Carry clarity and calm into your everyday life

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothes you can move in
  • Water bottle
  • An open mind and your beautiful self
  • You’re welcome to move barefoot, in socks, or shoes — whatever feels good.

No Experience Needed

All bodies, all abilities, and all energy levels are welcome. This is a space for you to be you.

Testimonials:

  • I thoroughly enjoyed Aditi's sessions. The first mindful movement part of the session was relaxing and enabled us to become more in tune with our bodies. The second half of the session, doing Bollywood dancing, was extremely uplifting, joyful and a lot of fun! Thank you Aditi for kindly offering your time for free to deliver wonderful session for The Bridge community of women! (Saoirse Medway, Programme Manager at The Bridge)

  • Aditi held such wonderful space for us during Move to Thrive, I'm really glad to have attended the session. I came to this workshop after a really difficult few days, so I wasn't sure how present I would be able to be, but was really pleasantly surprised at how gentle yet stimulating the class was - it's exactly what I needed! The small group size allowed us to feel really safe and take up space, and whilst I would have loved a longer session for more relaxed pacing, what fit into the short time we had was great! I especially really enjoyed the exercises that helped us warm up and unwind, connecting our bodies and breathing. (Kruti, participant at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre)

  • I found MTT very empowering. There was no judgement in the room, just joy. I was smiling all the way home. (Heidi, participant at St. Margaret's House)

  • I really enjoyed the Move To Thrive session as it allowed me to let go and to reconnect with my body and breath. I loved how Aditi held the space and gently encouraged us to let go and explore how our bodies can move. (Deborah, participant at St. Margaret's House)

Please note late entry won’t be accepted for anyone arriving more than five minutes after start time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to dance?

Absolutely not! This is not a performance or a dance class. There are no steps to learn — just guided movement, emotional release, and joy.

Is this a fitness or workout class?

No. This is movement for your mental and emotional well-being. You’re invited to move at your own pace, in ways that feel good and nourishing.

What if I have an injury or chronic condition?

You’re very welcome. Movement is guided and adaptive. You can do as much or as little as you like. Please email Aditi beforehand (see below), and she’ll check in with you before class to ensure you're supported.

What if I feel awkward or shy?

That’s okay. Many people do. This is a judgment-free space where you can move in whatever way feels right for you — even if that’s staying still. You’ll be held gently.

Who is this for?

Anyone wanting to release stress, reconnect with their body, and move in a way that feels freeing and expressive — regardless of age, body, or background.

How do I prepare?

Wear comfy clothes, hydrate, and bring yourself just as you are.
