Would you like to delve deeper into your body and increase your knowledge and experience in different dance techniques and movement cultures?

3 days Intensive Movement Workshop with Aneta Zwierzynska and Rachel Riveros, in Legnica Poland.


The intensive is going to include:

-Movement
-Contemporary dance, floor work , release technique
-Contact Improvisation/Improvisation
-Acrobatics
-Capoeira
-Stretching with elements of yoga
- Contemporary approach to Ballet with Rachel Riveros


The material is open to anyone interested in movement, contemporary dance and ballet from beginners to advance practitioners. Professional Dancers, amateurs, actors, martial artists, yoga, dance teachers, capoeiristas or anyone with an interest in movement.

About this Intensive:


This Intensive is the result of over 15 years of research and physical practice within many different movement cultures. Using mediums such as Soft Acrobatics, Floor Work, Release Technique, Flying Low, Contemporary Dance, Contact Improvisation and some Capoeira concepts of playfulness, we would like to explore the body in the relation to self and others. The aim is to introduce the possibility for building a universal and adaptable body without gender. We will be looking at the importance of breathing, physical and internal space, mental preparation, the psychosomatic system and the anatomy to search for the most effective way to use the body in specific situations. This year also we decided to open additional class for everyone interested in dance - ballet class with Rachel Riveros.

About us:

Aneta Zwierzynska

Aneta Zwierzynska is a professional dancer, performer, capoeira teacher and choreographer. Aneta obtained a double MA degree from Anton Bruckner University in Austria in Movement Research and Dance Pedagogy. She has trained and worked in Poland, Austria, Brazil and the U.K. Her movement research was sponsored by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland. Her first movement research was carried out in Brazil based on the possibility to exchange the knowledge and experience from contemporary dance and capoeira practice. Her second master degree was inspired by the Dance movement Psychotherapist Beatrice Allegranti from Roheampton University. She based her thesis on exploring the topics of body politics and embodied ethics. In her pedagogical and movement practice Aneta is using her knowledge and experience from different movement cultures such as: contemporary dance, release technique, yoga, gyro-kinesis, chi gong, capoeira , flying low, floor work, passing through, bartenieff fundamentals, spiral dynamic and contact improvisation amongst other techniques.

Rachel Riveros
Rachel graduated from Northern Ballet School having danced there with Manchester City Ballet Company in productions of Giselle, Swan Lake and Coppelia. In London she joined 'Re:birth' Hip Hop Dance Company and toured the UK and the USA. She was a lead in West Ends “Once Upon a Thames” at Leicester Square Theatre and has also danced with numerous Contemporary Companies at “Resolution” festivals at The Place Theatre, Laban, and Cloud Dance festivals. Rachel worked under Lara Bianca Pilcher for 3 years running to head up Project Dance London. She played the part of one of the Ballerinas in the film "Rescue Me-" winner of The Mexican Palm Film awards, and in 2011 founded E33 Dance Company -a Contemporary Ballet and Capoeira fusion company where she created her own work "Somewhere in The Middle" which was danced at Ballet Rambert. In 2017, E33 created their first dance film "Pursue Me"- which has played in London, Switzerland and Finland and is currently being submitted to International Dance festivals.
When Rachel is not dancing she loves teaching SHINE- a women's mentoring program to underprivileged girls from challenging backgrounds.
