The film celebrates the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, a historic event that brought together icons like Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sly and the Family Stone, and Mahalia Jackson. Incredible live performances with powerful cultural context, Summer of Soul is both a celebration of Black music and a vital piece of history that deserves to be seen and heard.
