Exploring Repentance

Hello fellow seekers, I do hope you're well. I appreciate you checking out this event which I have felt compelled to bring together after a powerful year of seeking and questioning my own faith and belief.

This is the start of a series of intimate webinars where we will discuss our understanding and application of the principles of wisdom from the Bible in our lives. We will start with exploring an extremely important message of Christ, which was to repent.

During these intimate webinars, we will be learning from leading thinkers such as Jordan Peterson, Lee Strobel, John Lennox, Nabeel Qureshi.

This webinar is for those who want to understand more about repentance, what it means for your life and/or who has no knowledge of repentance but would like to. This webinar is for Christians and non-Christians who would like to become more loving, caring and forgiving human beings. We will be learning more about repentance but repentance isn’t even a biblical word, it's actually an English word!

The Repentance movie by Ambassadors of Christ films, was recommended to me by two trusted friends and it made me really look at myself because I realised I have very little understanding of Christ’s message to repent and I need to know and understand it!

Through the Christian Response Forum, I thought bringing together a discussion group was needed to help myself and as many people as possible to support one another to learn more about repentance. So, I would like to invite you to watch the movie, for free and I have provided the link here:

Discussing the film and talk

On the back of watching the movie, I wanted to bring a discussion together to connect with others who would like to reinforce their knowledge and build on the understanding of repentance.

I would like to use that space to speak about our experiences and journeys of faith, whether you are very new to this journey, respectfully questioning and open or someone who is established in your faith.

This discussion will be for you if you:

• Want to deepen your knowledge and understanding of repentance
• Are open and respectful to your journey of learning and understanding the Christian faith and the journey of others
• Are genuinely seeking to deepen your understanding of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith
• Value the support of others to grow in your understanding of the life of Christ and of Christianity

Next steps:

1. Please register for this event and answer the qualifying questions before watching the film. I would suggest taking notes for your learning as we will be sharing what you have found beneficial in the discussion.
2. Please send an email to me at: stasia.simpson@crfn.org to confirm you have watched the movie and would like to join the discussion (to be conducted over Zoom) on Thursday the 2nd of June 2022 from 7.30-8:30pm GMT. I will send you the Zoom links and further details closer to the time.
