Event description
Team_PFP will be presenting their research and clinical experience on Patellofemoral Pain.

About this Event

TEAM_PFP have been invited to come and talk Patellofemoral Pain at Inverurie Chartered Physiotherapy Clinic in Aberdeenshire.

Patellofemoral pain is a heterogeneous condition that presents in several ways. Consequently, the treatment we prescribe to our patients needs to take into account the individualities of specific patients and incorporate patient preferences. The key issue is how can we effectively tailor our treatment to the patient right in front of us?

This exciting, practical and innovative course will focus on tailored treatment and how it can be applied in clinical practice. The tutors will present methods for identification of the primary symptom driver and examine tools that can be easily adopted within the clinical setting.

This course will provide you with a broader approach to understand, stratify and manage individuals with a diagnosis of patellofemoral pain. Most importantly, this course will provide you with the practical and clinically applicable knowledge.

Friday Evening Lecture - 18:00 - 20:00

The aim of these Friday evening lectures is to provide you with an up to date summary of the understanding surrounding patellofemoral epidemiology, pathogenesis and overarching principles for assessment and treatment planning.

Saturday Day Workshop - 08:30 - 16:30

The aim of the Saturday workshop is to equip you with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to assess and treat multiple populations with PFP, using current best practice.

Whilst it is recommended that you attend both course components, you have the flexibility of attending only the Friday evening lectures or only the Saturday Day workshop.
