  • Would you like greater confidence?

Would you like to take some gentle exercise, relax, lose the tension in your body and mind and learn some ways to become more relaxed, confident and at peace in your everyday life? If so, this course is for you.

David Brown, founder and director of Potentiality Coaching, will be running a 90 minute taster session, introducing concepts of mindfulness, relaxation, meditation and awareness in movement.

It doesn’t matter how fit you are because you can set your own pace. There are no moves to remember or complex sequences to learn. There is simply the time and space to relax, reconnect with yourself and discover some strategies to carry this sense of confidence & relaxation with you always.

These will include:

  • Breathing exercises- we rarely take a full, deep calm breath in this hectic and stressful world. Tension in the body and the need to focus our attention on the external world means that we do not breath with ease and therefore lose the benefit of power, relaxation, presence and confidence that comes with full breath.

  • Awareness exercises- are you aware of how you respond to situations in your life? Do you notice the affect you have on the people around you at work and in your private life? Do you consider the impact this has on your health and well- being? Becoming more mindful of these things means you can have a more powerful positive impact on your personal and professional relationships, which will improve your confidence and well- being.

  • Movement exercises- we do not think about the way we move, yet the way we interact with people is first and foremost with our body. How do you communicate non- verbally? What impact does that have on others? How is your body language affecting you and your mindset? Becoming more aware of the way you stand, move and hold yourself is essential for greater confidence, relaxation and presence.

Together these exercises create an opportunity for you to gain greater awareness of your potential and power, giving you the tools to manage stress and tension in your daily life. It is as simple as taking some time to connect to your breath and body and feel your innate power, confidence and presence. I think you deserve that.

We understand that exercise is a really important part of our health and well-being. In this age when we find ourselves living an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, building movement and exercise into our everyday life is essential. We also understand the significance of managing stress, the health benefits of relaxation and the chance to “unplug” from the near constant pressure of modern living. Meditation and mindfulness are buzz- words and solutions that people are gravitating towards, as well as learning yoga, tai chi and other forms of relaxation, mindfulness and awareness practice.

Moving meditation is a combination of all these practices that incorporates motion and exercise with awareness, mindfulness and relaxation to create that space in your life that allows you to “unplug” whenever you need to and live life with more presence, confidence and joy.

If you enjoy the taster session and would like to continue with the full four week course, there will be an oppportunity to sign up to the course immediately after the taster session. It will be offered at a reduced rate of £70 to people on the day (usual price is £80).

If you sign up to the full course, it is ideal that you attend all four sessions as each one builds on the information from the previous one. However, it is not essential & there will be opportunities to recap & learn exercises from previous sessions.

If you think you will struggle to make all the sessions, please let David know and he will make sure we cover the material you have missed.

The taster and the three following sessions will run on Thursday mornings from 9-1030am at Houghton and Wyton Scout Hut.

When you arrive in the village on St Ives Road from the A1123, the venue car park is on the right. The date of the taster session is October 5th. The next session of the full course will be the following week on October 12th. There will be a two week break to accommodate school holidays. The full course resumes again on Novemebr 2nd and the final session is November 9th.

Please come in loose clothing so that you can move freely and bring some water so that you can remain comfortable throughout the sessions.
