Moving Mindsets: Changes in British Thinking on Health, Wealth & Government

Mindsets, and moving mindsets, are at the heart of culture change. This session will explore FrameWorks' latest research on moving mindsets: what they are, how they've moved over the last year - and what this means for campaigners and communicators working to change narrative and culture across the four nations. With a particular focus on wealth inequality, government, and one potential way forward for more effective movement-building.

Tamsyn is Director of Evidence at FrameWorks UK, the sister organisation to the FrameWorks Institute in the US, and a trustee at PIRC. She works to understand how people think about social issues – and what changes those things. An expert in narrative and strategic communications, Tamsyn works with campaigners and organisations across Europe to translate research into practice on such issues as poverty, health inequality, and access to justice.

NEON’s Progressive Communications network is a peer support community for press officers from grassroots groups, small and larger NGOS plus freelancers. We aim to facilitate a supportive space where press officers can share challenges, ask for press contacts and join or share comms related events.

We regularly run comms lunch and learn sessions like this one where we invite journalists, editors, producers and other professionals to share insights on pitching and working together. We encourage attendees to ask questions and join short breakout sessions to network with others in our movement.
