Session Abstract: What is AI Risk Management and why should you care? As AI becomes intertwined with daily life and business operations, implementing robust and effective AI risk management strategies is becoming essential to ensure the responsible and safe utilization of this powerful technology.

AI risk management is the systematic process of identifying, assessing, and mitigating the potential risks associated with the use and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies. It’s a flexible approach designed to guide AI development both domestically and internationally, aiming to reduce issues like discrimination, security threats, and environmental impacts.

This presentation will explore the various types of AI-related risks and provide an overview of the current risk management frameworks available to help organizations mitigate these risks.

About the Presenter: Richard Hollis is the Chief Executive Officer for Risk Crew Limited a unique London-based information security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) management consulting firm specialising in providing creative, cost effective, independent cyber risk management and security awareness training solutions. Richard possesses over 25 years of “hands on” skills and experience in designing, implementing, managing, testing, and auditing enterprise level information security programs.

Richard has served as Director of Security for Phillips, in Paris, France and Deputy Director of Security for the US Embassy Moscow Reconstruction Project as well as a variety of sensitive security positions within the US government and military. In addition to his work with Risk Crew, Richard serves on several security technology company boards and security industry advisory councils
