Welcome to Moving Through Menopause!

Join us at the Gryphon Performance Hub for an enlightening and supportive event focused on navigating the menopausal journey. This series of three in-person workshops is designed to support women in midlife to feel more confident and comfortable with physical activity during the menopause transition.

Many women face barriers to staying active at this stage of life, yet movement — particularly strength training — can play a big role in supporting health, wellbeing, and confidence.

Each 1.5–2 hour session includes guided strength-based exercises that everyone can try, along with simple reflection activities and open group discussions. Together, we’ll explore the challenges and opportunities of being active during menopause, share personal stories, and discover practical strategies for wellbeing.

The workshops are hands-on and welcoming, with no prior fitness experience required. They offer a chance to try new activities, talk openly about the impact of menopause, and explore what helps or hinders women from getting involved in exercise.

Led by Hannah Campbell, a qualified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Moving Through Menopause aims to create an encouraging space where women can share experiences, learn from each other, and leave with practical ideas and resources to support their wellbeing.

Whether you’re curious about strength training, looking for community support, or simply want to explore how movement can help during menopause, this event is for you.

What to Expect:

6:00 – 6:30 PM | Arrival and Welcome

  • Arrive, sign in, and get comfortable.
  • Enjoy light refreshments and informal conversation with other participants.

6:30 – 6:50 PM | Introduction, Overview, and Pre-Exercise Discussion

  • Welcome and introductions.
  • Overview of the session and its goals.
  • Activities around expectations, experiences, and comfort levels with physical activity.

6:50 – 7:30 PM | Guided Movement and Resistance Training Session

  • Strength-based exercises suitable for all abilities.
  • Focus on confidence, technique, and enjoyment of movement.
  • Adaptations provided for individual needs.

7:30 – 7:45 PM | Rest and Refresh

  • Short break with water and light refreshments.

7:45 – 8:15 PM | Reflection and Discussion

  • Conversation and activities about experiences of strength training and physical activity as a women.
  • Sharing barriers, successes, and ideas for maintaining wellbeing and activity.

8:15 – 8:30 PM | Wrap-Up and Takeaways

  • Summary of key insights and next steps.
  • Practical tips, resources, and closing reflections.
