Moving to Portugal Show & Seminars - Edinburgh, 21 November 2025

In response to a recent surge of interest from Scots now actively considering a new life abroad, the Moving to Portugal Show will make its Scottish debut in Edinburgh on Friday, 21st November 2025.

The event will take place at the iconic Scotsman Hotel, 20 North Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1TR, and is organised by the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, following the long-running success of the Chamber’s London and Dublin editions of Moving to Portugal.

Enquiries about residency, property purchases, and long-term lifestyle changes have risen significantly in the last six months, driven by Portugal’s increasingly high international profile, year-round sunshine, outdoor lifestyle, and appealing tax benefits.

In addition, the growing number of direct flights now connecting Edinburgh and Glasgow to key Portuguese cities—including flights to Lisbon, Porto and Faro on the mainland, and Funchal in the island of Madeira — means Scots can now explore the possibilities of relocating to the sun more easily.

“In the last six months, interest from Scottish residents in relocating to Portugal has grown tremendously,” said Christina Hippisley, General Manager of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce. “In order to meet this demand, we’re delighted to bring this event to Edinburgh in November this year and to connect potential movers with the best advice and resources.”

The Edinburgh edition of the show will feature a full programme of expert-led seminars covering property investment, legal and financial planning, healthcare access, pensions, relocation logistics, and residency permits. Show visitors will also have the chance to book exclusive one-to-one consultations with Portugal specialists and to browse a curated exhibition of top-tier property developments, legal firms, financial advisors, and relocation experts.
