About:
A gentle but effective movement session for those feeling stuck in a rut and or challenged by the idea of engaging in the possibilities of exercise and physical activity. In this workshop you will explore some gentle and accessible movement sequences designed to slowly improve strength and flexibility, build stamina and increase confidence in your mobility, supporting a healthier connection with mind and body.
We will consider the barriers to exercise, how to work with restricted mobility or poor body image and learn how starting off really small, and building up over time can actually be as effective for our fitness and wellbeing as some of the more traditional cardio forms of exercise.
We will try out a range of simple enjoyable movement routines to get you going and learn how to find balanced effort, the place between your hard and soft edge and moving with grace and ease.
The sequences can be done sitting, lying or standing and can be adapted to meet individual needs and challenges.
