Introducing St Barts Chamber Orchestra's first opera production!
This summer, we're putting on our long-awaited (delayed due to COVID-19) semi-staged performance of a masterpiece in Classical music: one of Mozart's most delightful operas, Così Fan Tutte.
Così Fan Tutte
The title of this opera translates literally to mean "They all do it", or "All women do it". The story of the opera follows two pairs of lovers (Fiordiligi and Guglielmo, Dorabella and Ferrando) and their journey to test the hypothesis: do all women cheat? Urged on by Don Alfonso and the ladies' maid, Despina, the boys disguise themselves and try to seduce their lovers, testing to see if they will remain faithful.
