The Symposium is designed to provide snapshot views for the busy professional of the current situation in the rapidly expanding field of preservative hip and knee surgery and the key areas of treatment advances.
Providing a complete overview, key topics in assessment and preservation of the hip and knee joint in high demand athletes will be considered. For example, is arthroscopy as good as they say and what is the best way of rehabilitating patients after this relatively new procedure?
What are the common joint abuse patterns in athletes and how do we achieve successful return to sport after injury?
Platelet Rich Plasma is a new and exciting yet controversial treatment in the field of Sports & Exercise Medicine, is there evidence that it actually works?
Can stem cells transform knee and hip surgery? We will hear from the leaders in the field on the subject, and discuss the techniques that have the potential to revolutionise cartilage repair.
An exciting symposium will be rounded up with a pragmatic talk on how to write a paper by a well-published author and editor-in-chief of a leading orthopaedic journal.
These are but a few of the topics and questions which will be considered. There will be plenty of time for discussion and audience participation is encouraged.
Registration is from 14.30pm, the presentations will commence at 15.00pm.
CPD Certificates will be issued at the end of the symposium.
Afternoon tea, coffee & supper will be served.
