Description

The Health and Wellbeing Challenge and Communication and Culture Beacon are delighted to invite you to a workshop to develop a set of ideas for the forthcoming MRC-AHRC Global Public Health Partnerships Awards Call (https://www.mrc.ac.uk/funding/browse/mrc-ahrc-gcrf1/mrc-ahrc-global-public-health-partnership-awards-call/). The first round of this call is already open, but a second call is planned for autumn 2017.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday 17th May from 10-1 in SMB008 and will focus on bringing together our AHRC and MRC researchers to develop projects for this call.

The aim of the call is to build inter-disciplinary research capability and to support research innovation to build and strengthen UK and international research collaboration and partnerships for global public health benefit. The call is open to proposals addressing any global public health issue affecting low and middle income countries. Grants are in the region of £200k, but are designed to develop a pathway to longer term collaboration and carrying out feasibility work for future GCRF funding opportunities.
