Expression of interest for the MRCS Part B OSCE in Cairo, April 2026

Exam dates: 10–16 April 2026 | Exam fee: £1177

The MRCS Part B OSCE examination will take place in Cairo between 10–16 April 2026. To express interest in booking a place on the exam, please register here.

This expression of interest opens at 10am UK time on Wednesday 3 December on a first-come basis. Registration will close when we reach capacity for the exam, after which you can add your name to a waitlist which will close at 5pm on Friday 5 December.

On completion of Eventbrite registration you will be entered onto an 'expression of interest' list. Candidates will be contacted via email if they are able to complete the booking process and secure their place on the exam.

Candidates invited to complete their booking will be required to make full payment for the exam via the RCS England website by the date specified in further correspondence. After this point, if the full payment is not made, the place will be opened to another candidate.

Please be advised that eligibility criteria includes a requirement to have completed your internship. Candidates who complete their booking for the exam and are unable to provide this will be withdrawn without refund.

Please note that we are not able to guarantee a specific date for your exam. Therefore, you will need to ensure you are available between 10–16 April 2026. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.



ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

All documentation should be scanned and emailed to SurgicalEligibility@rcseng.ac.uk. Postal copies will not be accepted.

Applicants are required to provide all documents by 14 December. Failure to evidence eligibility within the given time will result in withdrawal without refund.


Final degree certificate

We require a copy of your final degree certificate. A Notary Public, Commissioner of Oaths, Justice of the Peace or another person entitled to practice law or an authorised officer of an embassy or consulate (referred to as an appropriate individual) must verify and sign the back of the copy of your certificate stating that the copy you have supplied is a copy of the original document that they have seen. A provisional certificate will not be accepted in the place of a final degree certificate or diploma. If you cannot provide a final degree certificate, contact the office before application.

Internship

Candidates are required to complete their internship before they are allowed to practice and must make sure this is completed and must provide their completion certificate. Without this proof of eligibility the candidate will be withdrawn without refund.


Please be advised that eligibility criteria includes candidates who have passed the MRCS Part A and have not become time expired of the 7 years.
