About this Event
First in the series of the masterclasses with Alan Pearson Level Four Exercise Specialist
In this masterclass Alan will be focusing on balance, which will cover how balance is regulated within the body and how you can practice certain exercises for your balance that will help improve mobility and daily activities.
Session outline
• Overview of the physical components that make up our balance relating to our brain, postural holding, proprioception and visual awareness
• MS symptoms that will affect our balance
• Alan will be demonstrating and giving some understanding and advice on simple balance and postural challenges in sitting, standing and walking positions to stimulate sensory and visual perception that will help with balance and stimulate our neural pathways and body awareness.
• Q&A at the end of the session
This will be the first of a series of dedicated sessions that Alan will be delivering to focus on exercise topics that people have asked to know more about such as drop-foot, posture and improving walking.
Please note we will be recording the presentation and you will make it available for you to watch it again.
Suggested donation is £5 for this master class, but you can make a donation of your choosing from £1 to attend.
