MSP Grant Funding Clinic by GrantTree and The University of Manchester

Please note that this advice clinic is exclusing to MSP customers.

Find the right grant funding for your business and ensure your application meets Innovate UK’s criteria.

With an 80% success rate in Innovate UK’s programmes, GrantTree and The University of Manchester will host an intimate clinic to prepare attendees to make a successful application to Europe’s major grant funding bodies.

GrantTree and The University of Manchester’s specialist team will:

  • Identify the right funding programme to fund your business;
  • Provide direct feedback on your project;
  • Build your project into a fundable proposition in accordance with the fund’s criteria;
  • Introduce attendees to relevant academics to strengthen your R&D project and grant application.

The session will consist of a 2-hour workshop with Dr Guy Rickett, Innovate UK assessor, to support attendees in meeting the required standard. Lunch will be provided.

30 minute 1-2-1 sessions will then be available to run through your specific project and concerns with making an application—if you are interested, please register then email elisse.grady@mspl.co.uk to arrange a time.

About the team

During the session attendees, will have direct access to the experience and knowledge of both the GrantTree and University of Manchester teams:

William Cooper: Before GrantTree, William worked on sub-Saharan African agri-tech projects, consulted on the development of marine infrastructure and ran his own business for 10years. William holds an MSc in Environmental Economics from Imperial College London and an MBA.

Dr Guy Rickett: Guy has 30 years of experience in research and innovation, including advising the House of Commons Select Committee. His experience began with a PhD in life sciences, later working in physics and space applications, most recently with high-tech SMEs seeking innovation support.

Saqab Rasbul: Saq has worked at the University of Manchester since 2003 primarily in the area of collaborative research between Industry and Academia, prior to this he had worked for the North West Universities Association following his graduation from the University of Manchester with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry.

His role as SME and KE Manager represents a significant opportunity to lead change for the University and increase their SME engagement, knowledge exchange and impact creation across all faculties. Even more so with the recent focus on SMEs, and the importance of engaging with them. Saq is heavily involved in collaboration with SMEs and how this is undertaken strategically and efficiently, working with cluster organisations and supply chains to overcome challenges and deliver innovative growth for the University and the Business community.
