Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware and the subsequent reset of the VMware Partner Programme have introduced significant operational and commercial challenges for UK Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Since 31 October 2025, MSPs have been unable to onboard new VMware cloud customers or increase existing commitments unless operating through a VMware Pinnacle Partner.

The next critical milestone arrives on 31 March 2027, when all legacy contracts must transition to authorised Pinnacle Partner platforms to maintain compliance and service continuity.
