"Supporting EAL Students in your school"
St John Fisher Catholic High School has the highest number of EAL students in the area with over 20 different languages spoken in the school. Alyssia is a lead teacher in working with EAL professionals and training school staff to work with EAL students effectively. She will bring a number of practical ways to work with EAL students in your classroom and your school.
"The focus of the session is ways to teach that include EAL students as part of an English speaking class, and is quite broad. I have split the training session down into the different 'parts' of a single lesson - how to include/adapt objectives, starters, main tasks, exam questions in a way that engages the EAL learner with the whole class."
“Alyssia is Lead Practitioner at St. John Fisher Catholic High School, Harrogate.”
Secondary school staff - Classroom teachers, EAL support workers and Teaching Assistants.
