Under the Tudor dynasty, London was at the heart of a trade explosion that made England a player on the international stage, challenging the supremacy of the more established European powers.

London was also the cradle for the new English drama, and City trade was to provide valuable material for what is seen widely as the Golden Age of English drama. This tour illustrates how with readings from the plays of William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, Thomas Middleton and many others.
