Event Details

Teaching staff will see little change until the actual conversion date, and then it could just be minor changes in the way things are done. For the finance staff and leadership team, it is a different picture. As soon as you make the decision to consider conversion, the workload increases exponentially! At the same timme, you will be bombarded by companies offering to assist with all aspects of conversion and advising on ‘off the shelf’ solutions.

So how do you know what you need to run the finances in a multi academy trust?

What will be different?

Will you have the right skills or will you need to train staff or bring in new staff?

Which is the right finance system and how should you set this up to work for you?

How will you work together with the other schools in the Trust?

What level of centralisation is right for your trust?

What needs to be in place before you convert?

How much addi5onal work is needed during the conversion process?

What are the funding implications for conversion including addi5onal costs and financial risks?

What Due Diligence is required?

This course has been developed by finance practioners who currently manage finances for local MATs. They have been through the conversion process and understand, from experience, the key challenges involved. The practitioners include recognised Subject Leaders of Education (SLEs) in Academies and Academy Transition.

First participant per school £150.

Additional Participants from the same school £80.

Additional half day SLE visit £150
