About this Event

This interactive workshop is designed for Police, Ambulance, Acute hospital and Mental Health Trust colleagues. Set up to explore the different perspectives of services, and how the different professionals can collaborate effectively for the benefit of mental health service users and absconding patients.

This problem-solving workshop will explore the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Assessment process, through case based scenarios, with a focus on the challenges faced by absconding patients. It is useful for operations centre managers in decision making when aligning resources and it is applicable for front line staff, dispatchers and call handlers. This course supports decision making by exploring the legal and professional frameworks in complex situations.
