Mon, 21 Aug 2017, 10:00 – Tue, 22 Aug 2017, 17:00 BST
THE SCIENCE OF MULTI DOG HOUSEHOLDS
More and more people choose to bring multiple dogs into their homes and in house dog-to-dog aggression appears to be an extremely common problem that many trainers and behaviourists are called out to help with.
This two day seminar delves into all the latest research and analyses statistics and studies to help trainers to prevent, predict and assess problem households.
Day two looks at the practical side of dealing with this sort of intense problem and includes specific practical guidance on: control and management, training multiple dogs, pros and cons of feeding routines, integration of a new dog, compatibility and personality, breed and gender mixes, age, injury and illness, group dynamics and dominance.
Participants will be shown demonstrations of techniques live or via video (venue dependent), and given an opportunity to analyse real life work/life and play scenarios.
After the course participants will be sent a further reading list, along with video tutorials reexplaining the practical elements from the course.
Lunch and refreshments are provided
