We are pleased to announce that Zaki Cooper will be our guest speaker for this year's Annual Lecture. A talk on "God in Government: The Faith of Prime Ministers" will be followed by Q&A and refreshments.
Biography: Zaki Cooper is an inter-faith activist, and is passionate about both faith and politics. A communications professional, he has worked in a range of corporate and public service environments, including for former Chief Rabbi, Lord Jonathan Sacks, and as an Assistant Press Secretary in the Buckingham Palace press office from 2009 until 2012 with a special focus on the Diamond Jubilee. He has written widely on faith and politics, including an essay for Demos (2013) "God in Government: The impact of faith on British politics and Prime Ministers, 1997-2012" and an IPPR booklet (2008) "Faith in the Nation: Religion, identity and the public realm in Britain today." He is a Trustee of the Council of Christians and Jews. He has a BA in Politics and Parliamentary Studies from Leeds University and an M Phil from Cambridge University.
