Multi-sports Time to Listen for Club Welfare Officers - FALMER (2.5.17)
Tue 2 May 2017, 18:00 – 21:00 BST
Time to Listen is a 3-hour workshop for Club Welfare Officers (CWO).
Please note, some CWOs will need to attend a sport-specific TTL. Please check with your governing body prior to booking or contact Gemma Finlay on 01273 644154 to check requirements.
CWOs must have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop or local safeguarding board course and will need to bring their own club reporting procedures to the workshop.
The workshop will:
describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centred environment
explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment
apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice
The venue is fully accessible.
Parking is free on site and there is a carpark next to the pavilion, or the nearerst train station is Falmer.
Refreshments will be available.
Cost: £35 or £30 (If working towards or achieved Clubmark), plus please consider making a £5 charitable donation to our sports trust.
