Join us for a sensory-rich multimedia evening as we dive into the fascinating world of how marine life communicates. Together, we will:

  • View stunning images by south west marine life photographer Carol Harper (MA)
  • Delight in seaweed art by Michѐle Rose from Sidbury Seaweeds
  • Reflect on an alternative take on life through a powerful extract from the Oscar-winning documentary My Octopus Teacher
  • Listen to a recording of How to be a Whale by Tom Mustill and Vahakn Matossian – as heard on Cerys Matthews’ BBC 6 Music show and played live at Glastonbury
  • Explore the world of marine bioacoustics with Professor Steve Simpson
  • Discover ways we can monitor local marine life in Sidmouth and Lyme Bay

Please note: How to be a Whale is a recording and not a live performance.
