Event description

Description

Heffers is pleased to present an evening of historical fiction, with three authors who are making waves in the world of books with their spellbinding first novels! Be 'in from the beginning' and join Laura Carlin (The Wicked Cometh), Beth Underdown (The Witchfinder's Sister) and Imogen Hermes Gowar (The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock) as they discuss their writing, answer your questions and sign copies of their books.

From the 1600's to the 1800's; down the murky alleyways of old London, to an aristocratic house in the country; to the docks of capital's east, to the villages and inns of north Essex, come along for what promises to be a wonderful evening at the bookshop, with tales of witch trials, murder and mermaids!

Tickets for the event are priced at £5 in advance (£6 on the door) and can be purchased through this page, by calling 01223 463200 or in person at Heffers bookshop. Please note tickets are transferable but not refundable.

If you are unable to attend but would like to request a signed copy of any or all of the books, please send an email via the 'contact' button on this page.
