Description

Muriel Spark was born 1 February 1918. To celebrate the centenary of her birth, a three day symposium is being held at the University of Glasgow, in conjunction with the National Library of Scotland, over the 31st Jan – 2nd February.

Day 1 (Wednesday 31st January) - A drinks reception followed by screening of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at The Kelvin Hall.

Day 2 (Thursday 1st February) - Range of academic speakers and optional creative writing workshop.

Day 3 (Friday 2nd February) - Range of academic talks and conversation regarding new Memoir on Muriel Spark.

Due to limited places being available, and for differing capacities of venues, registration is per day, and also separate registration for special events. Please consult the schedule for details. Please register for all events required (e.g. for Day 1 AND for Ali Smith in Conversation with Zoe Strachan).
