Museum 2.0: Enhancing Exhibitions and Augmenting Objects

A one-day symposium including keynote lecture, panel session and an interactive display will explore enhanced exhibitions and augmented artefacts.
Technology is increasingly used to enrich the visitor experience. It is having a major influence on the care and display of museum collections. Design with Heritage is asking:
- How does producing artworks by Rapid Prototype technology change the way we think about and conserve these objects?
- What is the relationship between an ‘authentic’ artefact and a digital reproduction?
- How do we provide responsive content to visitors moving around a gallery?
- How can we use digital technology effectively to explore multiple narratives in a collection of artefacts?
