Description

Are you planning a redisplay of your existing museum? If so, this is the perfect event for you!

We are working in partnership with one of the main funder, the Heritage Lottery Fund, to share their thinking about what makes a successful project, hear from local case-studies of recent re-displays, and get a rare opportunity to listen to national exhibition design company, PLB Ltd, about what works and what doesn't in that all important capital refurbishment.

Outline programme

10.00am Arrival

10.15am Welcome: Setting out the challenge

10.30am Lessons Learnt from capital re-interpretation with PLB Ltd

11.30am New Approaches in Script Writing with James Daly, D-Day Museum, Portsmouth

12.00pm Presentation from the Project team at Westbury Manor Museum followed by a tour & lunch

1.30pm Heritage Lottery Fund: applying for funding for a re-display with Joseph Minden, HLF

3.30pm Panel Q&A session

4.00pm Finish

We expect this to be a popular event and therefore we are limiting places to a maximum of 2 delegates per Accredited Museum (or WTA).
