Event description

Description

As part of the nationwide Museums at Night festival of arts, culture and heritage, Enginuity, one of the 10 Ironbridge Gorge Museums will be opening its doors free of charge on Friday 18 May from 5pm- 8pm. During the evening you can take part in hands-on family printing workshops.

At the workshops younger visitors can create their own designs based on the various styles in the School of Art exhibition using simple block, relief or collagraph techniques and compare them to today’s innovative 3D printing techniques in the Fab Lab.

The evening is also a great opportunity to experience the giant techno exhibits in Enginuity. Discover how a little ingenuity will empower you to pull a 10-ton locomotive by hand, generate electricity from flowing water, build an earthquake proof tower. There's also a play area for smaller children and a shop packed with great science, design and technology inspired toys.

The drop-in Enginuity workshops are suitable for all ages.
