About this Event
The story for the 3/4 age range is about a ghost that couldn't make a scary boo sound, and features lots of animals, so the inter-active songs, rhyming and rhythm games will all feature animals.
The story for 5/6 year olds will feature a hungry, grumpy giant. He wishes to eat some children, climbs down his giant beanstalk and finds himself being asked by every child he meets for help. The giant tries hard to be bad and scary but is confused by the children telling him that he is 'lovely' and wanting to be his friend. He ends up feasting on chocolate cake and making lots of new friends.
So, in essence, each session will feature a musical story, songs, rhythm games, role play, acting and imagery/art. Fun-phonic games for the children to improve their English skills. Lots of emphasis will be placed on the use of imagination to conjure up visual images. I can ask audience members for ideas for their own ideas for songs or stories via zoom. These can be used for later sessions so as to make the children feel as if they have some in-put. The PHSE input [personal, health and social education] will be aimed at encouraging the virtues of kindness, sharing, loyalty and empathy. Fun stories and songs are a great way of communicating these life skills.
