Music, asylum-seeking and the mobile phone

Music, asylum-seeking and the mobile phone. Presenting a song-writing project she has developed with such asylum-seekers in eastern Sicily, Professor Rachel Beckles Willson (Royal Holloway, University of London) will reflect on the creative value of mobile technologies in such fraught border zones. Her presentation will include a short film introducing asylum seekers and their music. For a foretaste, please visit this website.
